About

Last revised

Chained Future is a reference for people deciding how to hold their own crypto. It started with one question we kept failing to answer quickly: what does each hardware wallet actually have, according to the people who make it, and has any of that changed?

So the site is built like a datasheet. Every specification on a wallet page links to the page it came from and shows the date we last checked it. Comparisons are generated from the same data, so two pages never disagree about the same device.

The reference in numbers

Counted from the dataset every time the site is built, so these figures change when the data does.

What we do and do not do

  • We read manufacturer documentation, security advisories and independent research, and record what they say with a link and a date.
  • We say plainly when a page is based on documentation rather than on our own hands-on use of a device.
  • No wallet maker pays for coverage, placement or a better write-up. If a page carries an affiliate link, it is labelled where it appears; see the editorial policy.
  • We do not tell anyone what to buy or invest in. The pages explain trade-offs; the decision is yours.
